I’m Andrew Everard, and I’ve written about audio and video products for the past 30+ years, and been a consumer journalist for more than 40 years, starting my career on camera magazines.
I’m the Audio Editor of Gramophone, the world’s longest-established classical music magazine – it started in 1923! – and also contribute to titles including Jazzwise and Hi-Fi Critic, Hi-Fi News & Record Review and Hi-Fi Choice. I’ve also written for a number of non-specialist and overseas magazines.
Now I have the opportunity to write for myself, and only cover the products I find interesting. I can’t promise I’ll be writing here as often as I’d like, as I have to earn a living somehow(!), so I’ll be concentrating on those products and topics I find most exciting.
After all, life’s too short for ho hum hi-fi, so it’s good to be able to share with you only those products I feel really merit your attention. I’ll also be offering some news stories to have caught my eye, and the occasional piece of comment/analysis on what’s going on in the hi-fi arena, and the larger consumer electronics world.
