If the courier drops your new Bang&Olufsen system…

…Don’t worry – they’ve already tried that at the factory!

  1. Hi Andrew,

I was intrigued by your review of the Anthem MRX510. I was wondering how different the Anthem is to the ARCAM. My husband installed Martin Logan Vanquish, Axis, Motion 8, and Dynamo 700W speakers/sub. We are trying to find the best receiver to push these great speakers. We liked to Bowers and Wilkins, but found they were more limited on surround sound but excellent on music. We really enjoy both theater and music. When we sampled Martin Logan, they used the ARCAM, but did not have Anthem to sample.

After reading your review, we are most confident on Anthem, but have no where to sample before buying, so your review is our only way of auditioning this receiver.

Please let me know your thoughts on this receiver with our specfic speakers.

And, I love your last name, lol. It’s ours too. Probably long lost relatives.

Thanks for your time and assistance, but mostly thank you for that great review on Anthem that opened up a new market for us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Warm regards,

    Sheryl Everard

    1. Hi Sheryl
I found the Anthem to be highly capable with a range of speakers beyond the mass-market home theatre fare, and am confident it will work very well with your Martin Logans. Haven’t done direct comparisons with the Arcams, but the concept of both is similar – home theater equipment also able to ‘do music’ very well – and the Anthem lives up to that description very well.
I wouldn’t usually suggest a purchase of this kind without listening – is it possible to buy the Anthem from somewhere allowing you to return the product if you try it and don’t like it? At least that way you can audition it in your own system – but I am confident you’ll enjoy it!
